About Hope Inspired School

Welcome to HIS

Founded in 2020, Hope Inspired School (HIS) is a small, faith-based school serving kindergarten through eighth-grade students on the Oregon Coast. We believe every child is uniquely created by God and deserves an education that recognizes individual strengths, supports challenges, and inspires a love of learning.

In our multi-age classroom, we focus on meaningful progress rather than expecting every student to learn the same thing at the same time. Our goal is to build strong academic foundations, growing confidence, lasting friendships, and Christ-centered character.

The Heart Behind Hope Inspired School

The vision for Hope Inspired School began about a year before we opened our doors in 2020. I felt God placing the possibility of creating a different kind of educational environment on my heart. I brought the idea to our church and asked them to join me in praying about where God might be leading.

At the time, I had been providing dyslexia and math tutoring for approximately seven years. I had also spent time helping in my own children's private schools. Those experiences showed me that many teaching methods work well for some students—but no single approach works for everyone.

I imagined a school where children who needed extra support could succeed and children who were ready for more could keep moving forward.

Then COVID changed the landscape of education. Families were navigating online classes and long days at home in front of computers. Hope Inspired School began as a learning hub, where students could attend their online classes and receive help with assignments. We soon recognized that supporting online school alone wasn't the learning experience we envisioned.

As HIS developed its own educational program, we welcomed approximately 45 students from preschool through 12th grade. Younger children learned in classrooms, while older students used a learning-center model with online curriculum. It was a season of tremendous need, growth, and discovery.

As families' needs changed, HIS naturally evolved too. Every year has offered opportunities to learn and refine our approach. Today, we focus on kindergarten through eighth grade, individualized instruction, strong foundational skills, and hands-on experiences in a close-knit school community.

Our school has changed since 2020, but its heart has remained the same: helping children discover their God-given gifts and reach their potential.

Learning That Meets Children Where They Are

No two children learn exactly alike. Our small, multi-age setting makes it possible to adapt instruction and help students build understanding before moving on.

Faith at Our Foundation

Christian faith is woven into school life through Bible study, chapel, prayer, and everyday opportunities to practice kindness, honesty, compassion, responsibility, and service. We want students to grow not only in knowledge, but also in character and confidence.

Beyond the Classroom

We believe learning comes alive when children can explore, create, move, and experience new things together.

A School That Feels Like Family

One of our greatest strengths is the relationships that grow within our school community. Students of different ages learn together, support one another, and build lasting friendships. Older students have opportunities to lead, while younger students learn from their example.

We are thankful for the parents and family members who volunteer their time and talents, and for the local organizations and supporters who help make special opportunities possible. We believe children benefit when families, teachers, and the community work together.

Keeping Christian Education Within Reach

We work to keep tuition affordable through thoughtful use of resources, fundraising, and community partnerships. Our goal is to offer meaningful, individualized education while being mindful of the financial commitment families make.
